I have been photographing since retiring from a career as an interior designer and textile artist. The camera was my tool for exploring and understanding portraiture. I focused on the ways people inhabit their interior and exterior worlds.

After several years, I felt constrained by the medium and began to incorporate paint and collage into my photographic work.

Now I can expand my work; the interactions of image, emotion, color, texture and line allow me to present a story that is both simple and complex.
